French Onion Soup

Ingredients:
1/4 Cup Butter or Margarine
3 Lg. Yellow Onions, sliced
1 Cup White Wine
3 cans (14 oz) Beef Broth
1 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. dried Thyme
1 Cup Provolone cheese slices
1 loaf sliced/toasted French bread
Preparation:
Melt butter in skillet. Cook onions stirring until lightly brown (this will take a while); Add wine; Combine onion mixture, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt & thyme; Simmer.
Place sliced toast and cheese in bottom of bowl and pour hot soup over it; Broil until lightly bubbly and brown. Serves 6

Melt butter; Add wine, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt & thyme to a boil, then transfer to the slow cooker and cook for 7-10 hours on LOW. Then do the cheese in the bowl & broil thing.
